1911 (Atlantic Ocean) - (point of divergence) The Lusitania collides with an iceberg at the night of August 19th, capsizes and founders. Stricter safety regulations are introduced. The Olympic is quickly brought back to the ship yard for a refit and the Titanic is equally refitted.
1912 (Atlantic Ocean) - The Titanic starts her maiden voyage on April 10th. She sails across an ice field and spots an iceberg, with the red mark the Lusitania’s hull left after her collision with the iceberg one year before. The ship narrowly misses the iceberg, scraping it slightly, and continues sailing with only two flooded compartments. She makes it to New York and is repaired.
1916 (Atlantic Ocean) - The hospital ship Melodic collides with German destroyer G104. Meanwhile, the troop transport ship Mauretania is nearly sunk by a stray bullet from British battleship Dreadnought, but a section of the stern superstructure is blown up and the fourth funnel collapses. Both ships are taken to the nearest shipyard in Galway to be repaired and the Mauretania is redesigned without her fourth funnel, renewing her service life.
1918 (Britain) - After returning from her wartime service, the Mauretania retains her modifications with a longer service life ahead of her.
1936 (Britain) - The superliner Oceania of the Cunard-White Star Corporation enters service. Rumors say that she was originally planned to be named after a queen, namely Victoria, but was unusually named Oceania instead after the scrapped superliner Oceanic. The Titanic is scrapped, leaving the Melodic to wait her fate.
1940 (Britain) - The Oceania-class superliner Caledonia enters service as a troopship along with her sister Oceania. The long-living Mauretania and Aquitania happen to also similarily serve as troopships.
1941 (Atlantic Ocean) - The Normandie narrowly avoids sinking by ramming a U-boat, just as the Olympic did in WW1. The Bismarck, a Bismarck-class battleship, would unsuspectingly ram the Kent, a County-class cruiser, dealing severe damage to her bow and decomissioning the two from service. Bismarck is towed to Cherbourg for repairs while Kent is sunk.
1942 (Atlantic Ocean) - The German battleships Hutten and Tirpitz and their escorts encounter the battlecruisers Renown, Repulse, and Hood, and their escorts, ending up in an intense battle. Hood and Repulse come out having taken severe damage, while Renown and Tirpitz are sunk and Hutten is scuttled.
1943 (Britain) - Melodic is preserved and now resides docked as the Cunard White Star Museum in Southampton.
1945 (Atlantic Ocean) - A treaty is signed in the USS Lafayette about the fate of the Axis.
1945 (France) - After arriving back at France, the Lafayette is converted back to the Normandie. Her sister, Bretagne, is built as a celebration of the end of the war.
1945 (Britain) - After returning to Cunard, Mauretania is immediately sidelined. Aquitania is preserved, now residing in Long Beach, CA.
1948 (United States) - One of Oceania's cargo holds explodes while docked in New York, burning her up from the internals and capsizing her.
1950 (Britain) - Mauretania is scrapped without any fanfare.
1950 (United States) - Oceania is floated up and scrapped quietly. Meanwhile, Normandie runs aground in an uninhabited island near Florida.
